RetailMachine’s website experienced poor mobile performance, despite mobile being the primary traffic source.

According to PageSpeed Insights, mobile LCP reached ~19.3 seconds, negatively impacting user experience and engagement.

This performance bottleneck limited the site’s ability to support future mobile advertising campaigns and reduced the effectiveness of existing traffic.

The decision The decision

RetailMachine addressed the challenge through a comprehensive performance optimization strategy focused on Core Web Vitals. The approach included identifying the LCP element, eliminating render-blocking resources, correcting layout shifts, and implementing server-side and browser caching.

Partnering with CoobX: support the performance audit, technical analysis, and implementation of Core Web Vitals improvements.

The results The results

Following implementation, mobile performance improved significantly. LCP decreased from approximately 19.3 seconds to 3.6 seconds, and the PageSpeed mobile score increased from 58 to 81. Total Blocking Time dropped to 20 ms, while mobile bounce rate decreased by ~8% and session duration increased by ~12%.
